This is a far more credible story behind what happened. Not every such instance is a case of police abuse of power. There is ZERO evidence the officers did anything wrong other than exercise their natural right of self-defense against an angry, attacking crowd. Like the writer said, there was no video or photos of the officers provoking anything, and that the mere presence of the officers spurred the crowds actions. Im against police brutality as much as the next guy, and far too much of it happens. But not every action by the police is unjustified and a brutal abuse of power. As far as the evidence shows, these guys did what I would have done had I been in the same situation. If you scream tyrant and abuse too much, it waters down the meaning of the words, and they stop meaning anything. Plus, its an injustice to those cases that truly are. Finally, lets not forget that the cases of police brutality get far more attention than cases of good oath keeping police officers doing their jobs honorably. Thats just human nature. Mankind is drawn to negative stories, and often ignore the everyday good things that people--even officers--do.
