It points out that the voices of teachers and parents are left out of the discussion and that the 40-40-20 plan is unrealistic. All true. But we do need more than funding. We have to ask ourselves just what are we funding? Tests like Smarter Balanced? Standards like Common Core? What we really need are smaller classes, a well-rounded education, trust in our educators, and wrap around services for our families, and then we need to pay for it.
