This is a great example of the intestinal fortitude of those who choose to serve. Soldiers are breed to accept the challenges and to accept those challenges without question. Seeing this reminds me of a conversation I had with a dirtbag in the hotel on the way home yesterday. A conversation regarding tattoos came up and his comment to a desk clerk was that because the army wont accept anyone with a tattoo now he was going to encourage his son to get some just to make sure he couldnt serve because he couldnt understand why anyone would ever volunteer just to be shot at. Needless to say I couldnt let comment slide. I interrupted and explained for those of us that did and continue to serve, we do it with pride and to protect this great country, Something he didnt have a response to. I hate dirtbags that think freedom is free.
