This is a lovely rendering with sensitive instrumental background. Apart from this, I think this carol would be rendered best if all involved realised that it is really a form of chant and sung it that way. Too often everyone sings it at a gallop, like an ordinary hymn, which for me at least, spoils it. One of the beauties that I find in well sung chant is the way that it allows everyone to reflect on the words to some extent. Generally we tend to rush through songs and hymns as if they are just something to get through. There is so much in them if we can absorb the words better.
