This is a message to young believers and those who are yet to believe in Jesus Christ. In case you have ever been discouraged by a sense of being hopelessly behind those who seem to be far more experienced, knowledgeable, and therefore secure in their faith; then please hear me so that you can be lifted up and given an opportunity to be one of Gods over-achievers. There are truly many who are so well-read in Gods Word, that they can recite from memory entire chapters and books of the Bible (including reference numbers). I can do the same to a small degree, but I am impressed by the minds of those individuals who can do much more. However, unless one understands and lives by ALL of the Truth, memorization has little value. The purpose of studying Gods Word IS to learn what it takes in order to please God. You can know His Word to the extent of being able to win something like a game show, by knowing all of the answers. However, knowing the Bible trivia while missing the point will cause you to lose in eternity. Heaven is a place of Saints who learned and lived the teachings given through Gods Word and the Holy Spirit. The souls that did not live it are only qualified to haunt the molten ruins of theological seminaries; those that Jesus will leave behind, along with everything else in this world, to serve as housing amidst the enemys city of darkness and damnation. Spend your time seeking enlightenment through Gods Word and prayer. More critical than what you can store in your mind is the amount of His Truth that you absorb with your heart. To be capable of both is a gift, but what is essential to Salvation is knowing it and applying it to every part of your life. Be encouraged young believers and seekers. If you put forth the effort to read the Scriptures and open your heart; the Holy Spirit will fill in the blanks as needed. ...
