This is a one cool truck. It was a prior frame off restoration done about 12 years ago. It had been sitting for about 5 years. This was sitting at a friends car lot for a long time on the back row neglected and I asked the story on it. A friend of the owner of the car lot had bought this truck at a special interest auction about 6 years ago. Unfortunately he passed away and ended up the truck got pushed to the side. I couldnt stand the site of this once former show truck sitting so I made a deal and bought it. I had the carburetor rebuilt, put new tires on it, changed the fluids an did some major clean up. The truck was from Carthage Ill and I did my best to research what was done to it. There once was a whole photo journal documenting the whole frame off and there was about $20K+ of receipts until a gentleman who was interested in the truck convinced the owner of the car lot to let him take home the info to review it. Well the guy never came back and kept all the info that belonged to the truck. Here is what I do know. It was a frame off restoration. Brand new A/C condenser and evaporator and accumulator. It will need compressor brackets and lines to finish. Fiberglass raised cowl hood with custom paint, wiper less cowl It is a built 74 350 block. I dont know compression or any specifics. Pretty heavy cam with nice lope at idle. Gear drive, ratio rockers(most likely rollers) and tall valve covers to clear them Weiand intake and 600 Holley with vacuum secondaries and electric choke Coated headers that are solid but have some rust Aluminum 4 core Northern radiator with dual fans Built 700r4 trans with shift kit, stall converter, external cooler mounted in frame rail 12 bolt rear with disc brakes, I dont know ratio Every single nut and bolt on suspension was replaced, painted or upgraded, front control arms are painted, rear end painted etc...every single brake line and hose have been replaced. Lowering springs and new shocks on front as well as the back. Hidden headlights and bumper with fog lights in them. Tail lights were filled in and Corvette lights in roll pan. Even the Chevy bow tie lights up in the tail gate when you hit the brake! Centerlines are as old as the truck but look near new. I just put brand new hercules tires on 295/60/15 rears 255/60/15 on fronts Billet specialties aluminum plates on step panels and in door sills Locking tonneau cover with rubber mat inside Rear window tilts and is removable Interior is tweed and has custom gauges and steering wheel Seats I think are out of late 90s Chevrolet or GMC truck/Tahoe. Stereo faceplate was in bag with receipts so I just put a head unit I had in, it has Kicker component speakers and tweeters. So much it would take forever to list it all. Have had several very knowledgeable car friends and buddies feel its in the 400HP+ range. It pulls very hard for a heavy truck. I feel a bigger carb would really wake it up more. Basically every thing is new and drives like it. I would not hesitate to drive anywhere any time and have taken on half day drives with momma bird and the baby so its reliable. Will need some light clean up and touch-up as it is a older restoration. I didnt want to make the truck 100% because I want to leave room for you to add your own touches to it. I have video of truck running for serious buyers. SERIOUS buyers only. I am a working family man that doesnt have time for endless emails or texts. Cash only. Any low ball offers, checks, money orders or offers to sell will not even get a response. Texts are only welcome if you use proper english and can not get to the phone. I refuse offers unless you have seen the vehicle. I can email or text for SERIOUS buyers that I will only send after personally talking to. 636-675-4773
