This is a quick reminder that our Senior Visionaries will begin being delivered tomorrow morning in the Choir Room. Please be a few minutes early for the time slot that you selected. Here is a run-down of how we got here, and what you are aiming to accomplish with your speech: - At our Senior Retreat, we outlined our personal mission and vision statements, based on the roles that we fill in life. These explained the type of (sons, daughters, students, student-leaders, musicians, actors, athletes, and/or persons on faith, etc.) that hope to be. - You have been planning weekly to identify your “big rocks” each week, or the baby steps that you will take in your free time to inch closer to being the person you described in your vision. - Your Senior Visionary speech (3-4 minutes) will accomplish the following: o You will speak publically in a competitive format o You will articulate some part of, or your whole vision. o Awards will be handed out for… Best speeches Best visions Most engaging performances …and more In the end, we are hoping that you get a little experience with the pressure of public speaking, and you get a chance to share your values and vision with our school community.
