This is a ridiculous healthcare system. Death education, just like anything else, should be mandatory in our education system. Everyone will die. Deal with it. Current system spends majority of money on aggressive but futile end of life care. It is outrageous! More than half of the ICU patients are perfect hospice or comfort care candidates, but they spend the rest of weeks to months of life in the ICU with intubation and sedation. It is ridiculous. Of course, family wont pay for it. Its Medicare who pays for it. Where is Medicare money from? Taxpayers. If we let this continue, America will go bankrupt. Please allow natural death. Please do not fight terminal illness if it is at the very end of life. Please sign do not intubate or resuscitate paper if the illness is irreversible and interventions are deemed futile.
