This is a screenie of something I found while wandering around the Abyssal Depths in World of Warcraft. The whale is being trapped by a tentacled horror. Next time I go to Ulduar (a raid, or mega-dungeon), I will get screenies of the last boss. His name is Yogg Saron and a mechanic of his encounter is that if you look at him, you gain stacks of a harmful effect, and if you gain 100 stacks, you lose control of your character till either your friends kill you or the encounter ends. The effect is called Insanity. A third Lovecraft Easter egg in Warcraft is Cthun, a tentacled eyeball in a different raid called An Qiraj (spelling not reliable haha). I cant think of any more for Warcraft. Are there any Lovecraft Easter eggs in a game you play (or any I missed in Warcraft)? Remember, it doesnt count if the main source material is Lovecraft-inspired! (So Call of Cthulu does not contain Lovecraft Easter eggs, folks!)
