This is a song that speaks to my heart. I have thought long and hard what I would write in the new year. Lynn and Tammy this is for you and the rest of the family who is hurting right now. We read, hear and see on tv and the news and Facebook about singers and movie stars who have committed suicide. We feel so bad and sad for them. My sister Lynn was just told that Facebook was not the place to talk about it. But we talk about it all the time. How much more important is it to talk about it when it happens to a family member we know. Just before Christmas my half sister Liz committed suicide. Very sad time. She is one of 12 children wo battle some of the same demons that she did. She was not able to overcome hers. Lynn the one thing I have learned is about forgiveness. It not about the person we are forgiving but its about us. If we hang on to forgiveness we are giving that person power over us to hurt us over and over again. Take that power back. He can not hurt me any more. Please do not keep this pain and inside of you. Talk to someone, anyone. But please tell someone you are hurting. I know at 23 I almost was where Liz is now. But someone saved me. I am here anytime. Let this be a year of healing for this family. Love you all. Remember to see beyond the smile.
