This is a touchy subject. The ice bucket challenge was to raise awareness for Als/mnd which has virtually no funding and is not a very well known disease. It has no cure and i only know about it due to loosing someone to it. I am all for charities getting in on the idea but when a charity as well known as macmillian who have coffee mornings, race for lifes ect.. and have just had a surge of donations due to the no make up selfies have diverted many donations from the original charity to there own, its quite difficult not to feel slightly resentful to macmillian. Its a difficult thing and wouldnt want them to not have donations but personally think they should allow another charity to gain publicity and donations. If you do donate to the macmillian charity with your ice bucket challenges please dont forget to donate to the original charity too. Its close to my heart and really needs your support.
