This is a tough one to post, doxie friends...... Milo & Willie, two bonded seniors with health issues, are needing a new forever home. Please, dont judge their owner who is choosing to re-home them because of extreme financial and time constraints. This has been an agonizing decision for her; she wants what is best for these two boys. Instead, look into your heart and ask yourself if you can be their forever home: to nurse them, to love them and to give them a stable and quiet environment in which to live out their lives in peace and love. Milo is a beagle/doxie mix. Willie is a longhair Dachshund. Both boys are about 9 years old and approximately 16-17 pounds. Milo has Cushings Disease. He has been taking Ketoconazole for the past year and is doing well. It cost about $17 for a two months supply using an online pet RX card. Milo LOVES to play with balls and stuffed toys. He will even take the stuffed animals outside when he does his business. He loves to snuggle near your face at night. Willie is much more ill with an undetermined form of cancer which is causing fluid to build up in the area between his lungs and his chest. He is on steroids, and is doing much better, but still coughs occasionally and wheezes a bit on short walks. In speaking to his vet last week, she indicated that he probably would not live much longer, though it is difficult to predict. Willie loves to play with anything tied to a string and will snuggle by your feet at night. Both boys are leash trained and travel well in a car. They are dog and cat friendly. They are nervous around young children, but older kids are ok. They are potty trained to go outside, and are also (sort of) pee pad trained as well. What Milo and Willie need is an permanent adoptive home that will give them security, comfort, compassion and love in a peaceful, easygoing household. Can you help Milo & Willie?
