This is a very good idea. I would put it more positively -- rather than why wasnt this covered you would get further saying that you believe it should be covered and that you will boost circulation and promote the site if it IS covered, and so will the hundreds of others emailing. Editors can not share the real reasons news attention is directed away at certain stories but they can make the case to their boards that hundreds of new eyeballs would be secured by responding to these requests for coverage. I actually think this kind of direct feedback from viewers with EVIDENCE that it is a newsworthy stopy would be really good for the health of the media stream. According to a post by Naomi Wolf on her page today, she commented that her friends that run some media companies are unaware of the events at Al Asqa,,or the weekly killing and arrests of children in the West Bank. What if we coordinated with several large facebook pages in this country and Israel/ Palestine to bombard the stations on a single day, with every bit of information and video that we have, calling it Why wasnt this covered? If the stations get hundreds of thousands of emails and postings in a single day, they would have to cover the event.
