This is about a 10 day sequence of photos from last fall. Most of the pictures are in order, other than a few that are not because of being taken before or after midnight on any given day. Bittersweet memories, as it was so awesome to do this for JDRF and my dad, but my dad passed away about 6 weeks later. Regardless, I cant thank everyone enough that was a part of making this happen, as it meant so much to those affected by diabetes and my dad as well. So many great stories from that weekend, like lettering the car in the infield in the rain on Thursday afternoon. When I buckled in the car for the first time on Thursday night for the futures race, I was thinking I dont even know if this thing drives, as the car hadnt even been test driven around the pits at that point. Numerous people somehow affected by diabetes, whether it was themselves, a son or daughter, sister or brother, wife, husband, or other family member, came up to say thank you for doing this. I wish I was in a position to do something like this again right now, but Im just not, so well have to wait a year or so and well do something again. One of my last conversations with my dad was about how proud he was of me for doing this. I would never trade that for the world.
