This is an important and goose bumpy look at child hunger--and poverty in general--and worth watching. Although the human warmth of sharing and food pantries that are shown may be important bandaids for immediate needs, this begs the basic question of why in the world we dont come right to the point--something is wrong with free market capitalism and our democracy now controlled by the rich, by banks, by corporations. As a result we are totally unable to confront the causes of poverty and hunger and injustice in the world. Yes, such clips bring us to tears, but they should bring us to indignation, anger, and a commitment to changing the root causes of the problem in the first place. Instead of warm, fuzzy clips of idealistic children, we should be pointing fingers of shame at those who allow this to happen and demand change.
