This is an interesting perspective. What he says about Ghrelin - TopicsExpress

This is an interesting perspective. What he says about Ghrelin is accurate as well. That was covered in my Nutritional Biology class. The thing about diet and exercise is that everyone will have a slightly different reaction to it. Even though probable outcomes can be predicted the actual outcome will always be unknown. Over the years Ive learned that for me it doesnt matter how many meals a day I eat. I average 4 to 5 though. I sway 5 pounds in either direction and thats about it. ✳️CONQUER YOUR HUNGER✳️ Controlling Ghrelin hormone will to lose weight & reduce hunger, known as the hunger hormone, Ghrelin is produced in your hypothalamus (located in your brain), kidneys, and pituitary gland, but most actually synthesized in and released by the stomach. Its often released in a pulsatile manner throughout the night, peaking shortly after you wake. No matter where its produced, it always leads to the same thing extreme hunger and a desire to have a binge. Heres the kicker, your Ghrelin secretion schedule largely follows your eating schedule. Ghrelin is what you might call a trainable hormone, the more often you eat the more often youll produce Ghrelin & the less often you eat the less often it will be secreted. This is one of the many reasons why the 6+ meal per day hypothesis flawed. As you now see this style of eating every 2-3 hours as is often promoted by many in the fitness industry is extremely flawed for losing weight. Simply put from a hormonal standpoint its designed to make you hungrier. Thats great if your goal is to gain weight, but for the majority of people aiming to lose weight it leads to binges or eating more than your intended macro targets daily. If losing weight and becoming leaner are your goals you should consider training your body to eat less frequently. This will allow for larger portions of food and help to prevent the constant feelings of needing to eat. No longer will your day be consumed by thoughts of food & youll enjoy a more sustainable and enjoyable approach without the frustration of constant hunger. My suggestion is 4 meals per day when dieting and 5 meals per day when trying to gain weight. CONTACT DTfitness90@gmail SUBSCRIBE YouTube/dylanthomasfit
