This is another shot I took on Thanksgiving morning while I was out absconding with colorful grapevines for my mantle, and I almost got myself run over in the process. I think these are really attractive and fairly unusual entrance gate structures, and Ive been admiring them for many years. It turns out this is the ranch that San Francisco madame and former Sausalito mayor, Sally Stanford, purchased in 1961 as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. I would say she had pretty darn good taste.
