This is both bad government and bad management. Reward campaign - TopicsExpress

This is both bad government and bad management. Reward campaign workers and contributors by giving them important policy development responsibilities for which they have no qualifications; then immediately give them fat salary increases. Do all of this while claiming to have no money to provide salary increases for teachers who are among the lowest paid in the nation. The one thing WRAL missed in this report is that the Health and Human Services Secretary who did this was previously appointed US Ambassador to Estonia by George W. Bush. She and her husband were among the largest fund raisers for President Bush in both of his election campaigns and were on hand to meet personally with Jeb Bush when he appeared recently in Greensboro. They were also major supporters of Governor McCrory. Is it any surprise that the former Ambassador to Estonia (who is also a physician with minimal recent practice experience) is now qualified to lead the biggest and most troubled department in state government and be responsible for all of our health and mental health programs? And is it any surprise that she would put unqualified people in key positions then give them big raises? This is just how business is done by the Republican leadership.
