This is brave little Ballerina, Eva Mitchell, she and many more sick kids are the reason we are doing this.............. Eva was born with a large hole in her left diaphragm meaning she was unable to develop internally like lungs etc normally, she was given a very slim chance of surviving birth, has beaten the odds more times then anyone can count, full ecmo life support, strokes causing weakness on left side, she now has bad chronic lung disease lives on oxygen, her stomach and bowel dont work at all anymore she has gastrointestinal failure and she is fed tpn into her blood stream which she is not stable on and is making her sicker, she is a sick little girl who battles on every single day!! She has been in starship most of her life but since being admited in may 09 has only had 5 hours at home, she lives in Starship full time now and is awaiting someone to come up with a miracle idea of how to help her.
