This is cool. I just got a request from a book publisher for permission to include one of my articles in a college textbook about understanding context in reading. The textbook is from McGraw-Hill and it’s for the second edition of a book called “Contextualizing Reading.” I can give permission for free — ha! — or ask for a rights fee, but I have no idea what’s appropriate to ask for. It’s cool to have one of my articles used as an example text to teach college students how to read for context. I might have to buy one of the books when it’s out. :-)
