This is for ALL students, grades 9-12, on the East End. Make sure to share this info, please! Have you heard about the Fall College Fair?! Coming to East Hampton on Friday October 18, from 10am-1pm in the HS gym, is the East End Counselors Fall College Fair - featuring 145+ colleges! We are hoping to provide all of our students, 9-12,with the experience. Students will be able to attend during their lunch periods, but we would also like to encourage you to bring your students, as a class, during 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th periods. If you are interested, please sign up through Lindsay Roman in the Guidance and Counseling Office by next week. Because our parents have also been invited, and students from eight neighboring high schools will be in attendance throughout the morning, we must regulate the number of classes in attendance during each period. For students to benefit from attending a college fair , they need to have some direction and be armed with pertinent questions to ask college reps. Sample questions, as well as ideas for class assignments that may link particular subject areas to Formative Assessment-type College Fair activities were distributed to coordinators this week. Counselors will also be going into social studies classes to provide students with information and instructions on registering for the fair.
