St. Gerard, who, like the Saviour, loved children so tenderly and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death, listen to us who are pleading for our sick child. We thank God for the great gift of our son and ask Him to restore our child to health if such be His holy will. This favour, we beg of you through your love for all children and mothers. -Amen Heavenly Father, watch with us over your child Hezekiah and grant that he may be restored to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give. Relieve his pain, guard him from all danger, restore to him your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise him up to a life of service to you. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Most merciful and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant, Hezekiah, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church.
