This is from my friend Eddie Burgess. JOIN ME - I STARTED TODAY - DAY 1 I think this is one of the single best exercises you can do. It engages the core muscles which are the basis for our ability to perform almost every daily task we face. Want to be a faster runner strengthen your core, want to improve your balance strengthen your core. Before cancer I routinely did 2 minute planks. Not now... IF you do not know the proper form Google it BEFORE YOU start. This drawing is accurate in terms of basic position - I was taught by a trainer to bend the knees just a little - it helps reduce stress on the back. Cant do this from the position shown? Start out with your knees on the ground instead of your toes - do that as long as needed till strength improves, then transition to full plank!
