This is gonna get me in hot water, but I need to say it! Whilst I do feel for the plight of the various animals in the various shelters and pounds in the country, and I applaud the efforts of those attempting to raise funds to help them, I also feel the need to remind people that there are other causes of equal and even greater importance. Let us not forget those suffering from a terminal illness, or those with a debilitating illness which requires daily assistance from an organisation such as Alzheimers. There are also many who are finding it difficult to put a decent meal in front of their family due to being out of work. They need your help too! Perhaps if they were cute and fluffy it might get them noticed!!
