This is in regard to the post about AMWAY. Yes I am doing Amway business and I know some good people who have succeeded in this business and make money and many more who are still trying hard... Normally I dont write as the truth does not need proof. But I am apalled at the ignorance of the writer in previous post. Some pointers 1. MYTH: Indian FMCG companies are getting crushed under the weight of Amway. FACT: The biggest FMCG companies are foreign MNCs. The top one is Unilever which is Anglo dutch and P&G which is American. 2. MYTH: Amway products are too expensive. FACT: Yes, they are expensive. But they have 100% moneyback guarantee. They give back your money even after you use the product and not satisfied with the quality. 3. MYTH: Poor and middle class people fall for AMWAY and lose their life. FACT: Poor and middle class people fall for much greater scams like engineering college where they spend 5 lakhs and they do not get any return. In comparisson, people will only lose time in doing AMWAY business. If they do not succeed they will lose some spare time they have invested. 4. MYTH: Amway is an MLM where people get in early will make most money. FACT: Amway follows Network Distribution model where people will get paid according to the business they generate and not when you joined. I know people who have sponsored downlines and they earn more money than their sponsors. Understand the Plan fully before you complain. Amway runs in more than 90 countries and they have faced far less legal challenges and have never paid penalties in courts. Contrast it with Reliance or Airtel and look at huge amount of fines levied on them by courts for unethical and ilegal practices. 5. MYTH: You have to buy 100 PV of products every month. FACT: There is no compulsion to buy products. But if you want to earn money atleast use products. Do not go around cheating people to buy when you yourself dont use. 6. MYTH: You have to pay 995 for joining Amway. FACT: There is no joining or renewal fee for having Amway business. Though this has evolved over a period of time. Initially it was 4400 for joining. Then it was made 2500 then 995 and now it is ZERO. 7. MYTH: You need to protect local industry in order to grow. FACT: If every country thinks that way, then we cannot export anything. We produce highest number of engineers in the world but still have to import ordinary military trucks from abroad. For example, for Tatra trucks manufactured in a puny country called Slovakia, Indian government has spent more than 5000 crores. Of which 750 crores is only bribes. Compared to defence scams, Amways earning from India is still not more than 800 crores in the last 15 years of its operation. 8. MYTH: You need to sponsor two people under you and they in turn have to sponsor two more people etc. FACT: It is called binary system which is followed by many INDIAN companies and which is illegal in most of the developed countries. Have you even seen and paid attention to Amway marketing plan? 9. At last one FACT, Amway is concentrating on FMCG and pharmaceutical products. Congrats. If a common man has to build business it has to be in FMCG, pharma and beauty products which is purchased every month. Then only steady income can be achieved. It is common sense. Infact, the first product they introduced in the market in 1959 was LOC, the floor cleaner. And then SA8, the liquid detergent. 10. MYTH: Doctors are the best professionals in the country and they are best people to advice on not falling sick. FACT: Some of the biggest criminals in the country are in the medical sector. Anybody remember the CBI raid that recovered more than 1000 crores in cash in the house of Indian Medical Council Chairman. Do you want to trust the people part of these organizations. And doctors need sick people. They would never advice a product that would make people to stay healthy unless you are their children or close friend. 11. MYTH: People cheat in Amway. FACT: This allegation needs some consideration. There are unethical people in every profession. There are doctors who steal kidneys. But do not label all the doctors as criminals. But in Amway there are more unethical people than in any other profession. That is because Amway allows anybody over 18 to become members. If they say, you have pay 1 lakh to take distributorship and prescribe education qualification, then these can be reduced. But Amway is steadfast in saying that they will allow anyone to become member as they it is an opportunity to make money for common man and it is open to everyone. But even they are clear everyone cannot succeed. Even when Amway was charging initial fee, they gave 90 days time to discontinue and paid the full money back. Do not lose relationship or friendship built on a lifetime over Amway business. If they cannot do it, help them to get out of business. 12. MYTH: Products in direct selling has to be sold cheaper. FACT: Why should it cost less? There are people putting efforts. 65% of Amways MRP is given as commission to people who are responsible for sales. Which is a market average. 13. MYTH: Amway products are too expensive. FACT: Amways products are of high quality and they will definitely cost more. You cant get BMW or Benz at the price of Hyundai or Maruti. You will get the product performance for the price you pay. Amway like Procter and Gamble is in premium product segment. That is why they give moneyback guarantee. In fact most people nowadays say Amway products are good but they are expensive. That is why it is backed with moneyback guarantee. The market itself is moving towards premium segment. Today AC tickets in trains get sold faster than sleeper class. And they are increasing the AC compartments as the demand is more. People have moved dude. 14. MYTH: People leave jobs and lose their life in Amway. FACT: Yes, there is money in Amway but not till you build your network to a particular level. The advice that is given is, you leave your full time job, only when your Amway income is more than 2 times income from your job. All said and done, Amway is a business and there would be fluctuations. And the other reason is, when you show the plan to others without a fulltime job, nobody will join you as they will think that they too will have to leave their jobs. It is a definite, 100% foolproof way of failing in Amway business. I took considerable time in writing this post as I feel that this forum is a useful one and lots of fruitful things gets discussed here. Do not waste time in complaining. If people are so weak and they believe that they can become crorepatis by joining some MLM company laugh at them. And also understand and do some serious research before making comments. DO NOT WASTE our time. I still do not know who posted the article :) .
