This is it. Pete Rose can now take a sigh of relief as he is not the most abhorrent man in MLB history anymore. It’s done. There is no more credibility to A-Rod’s career and legacy; the 654 home runs, 2,939 hits, three MVP awards, and 14 All-Star Games were all window dressing and we all wasted our time admiring it. The circus should be over, correct? The lights on the Ferris wheel have been turned off, the kids have puked up their funnel cake, and the clowns are having an orgy with the bearded lady but come on; it’s never that simple with Alex Rodriguez. A-Rod has earned over $358 million in salary alone in his career but for some reason he’s not going to retire and sip drinks on the beach of Pissouri Bay, he’s going to try and keep proceeding on stating he’ll show up for Spring training and of course the challenging of his suspension in Federal Court. Again I’ll ask, why? Is all this effort necessary? Does A-Rod need that $61 Million (over the next three years)? I don’t see a vast benefit from this exertion for him; in fact, all I see is additional blemishing on an already polluted situation.
