This is it. This is my life. And when I go out to the kennel, and the wind is screaming, and those dogs want to go for a walk despite the fact that it means they will be pelted with gravel blowing across the rough and broken ground- or chase a ball that will go three times the distance from the wind- one look into those eyes tells me that it will be worth it. When we arrive back at the kennel, they look back at me, and with eyes full of gratitude and joy, they all go straight into their kennels to wait for the food they know will come, and the fresh, clean water. I need help out there, regular and consistent help. Not to take on more animals, but to be able to improve what we can give them, to be able to find them the homes they deserve so they can live a life with somebody who will give them so much more than I can. TO build our rescue so we can help more in a better and safer way. We are having a volunteer training Tuesday. If you can come, please do. Learn about this stuff- it is the most rewarding thing you can do in life, they NEVER let you down.
