This is long but my testimony is the most valuable thing I have to - TopicsExpress

This is long but my testimony is the most valuable thing I have to share... :) Testimony: My favorite part of being a missionary is being able to testify of our Savior everyday. Im so grateful for him and his sacarafice for me. He is not only my brother and Savior, but he is my best friend. He knows each and everyone of us personally, he knows our wants, needs, struggles, and pains. He knows us because he has felt it all too. He experienced all of our pains and trials, so that he alone could be the one to stand for us when we need him. I know and testify that he truly gave his life for us, and that only through him can we be forgiven of our sins and live with God again. I have felt the burden of sin lifted from me, I have felt the power of his atonement as I have repented, but i also have felt the enabling power of the atonement in my life as he has given me the strength to endure so many trials. His atonement is the center piece of all things that exists. Without the atonement, life would have no meaning. I testify that he still lives, that this is his Church and that he stands at the head of it. To me, The Plan of Salvation is the most amazing part of the Gospel. The fact that we are all divine and are children of God. That we have a purpose in this life, and that we can live with him again as Eternal Families. The power of the Priesthood is real, Ive literally been blessed to perform miracles on my mission, seeing the priesthood in action providing instant healing and comfort. The priesthood that we have is that same power that was used to create all that we have. What a blessing it is that we are given the opportunity to possess that same power within the Church. The priesthood is the only way we are sealed to our loved ones for all time and eternity. I know that only by living the Gospel can we truly be happy in this life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, it is an inspired Book that contains the fullness of the Gospel. It brings joy and happiness to those who read it because it speaks the words of Christ, and the words of Christ are love. There are many things i have learned on my mission but I will narrow it down to a few.. One that The Lord really doesnt need any of us, members or full time missionaries, as missionaries, he could send angels or others much stronger than we are to teach the Gospel but he allows us the opportunity so that we can learn from it. Second, The mission is intended to be a reflection of our life. Its going to be whatever we make it. There will be people on the way that reject or just dont like us, who treat us wrong. But what matters is our reaction to the adversity that we face. Do we attack it or look within ourselves and decide what we want to learn from it or how we want to grow. Third, The Gospel and life are lived by and individual and then shared and cherished with others. My relationship with the Savior, and my obedience is between me and him. No one else. Marriage or a family is simply for the sharing and cherishing of life. Learning and Growing as individuals together. All united in the cause of Christ. I love who I am because I know who I am, I am a Child of God. I testify of all these things, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Amen.
