This is my #21DayFix Thanksgiving Day plate. Green beans are of course 1 Green container. Turkey is 1 1/2 Red containers (I skipped my eggs this morning). Now for the tricky part: The Mac and Cheese is carb blob #1 from the left. I counted the pasta (whole wheat cuz my SIL rocks as a cook) as 1 Yellow container. I counted the squash in the Squash Casserole as 1/2 Green (carb blob #2), I counted the cheese from both of these dishes as 1 Blue container. I counted the Dressing (carb blob #3) and the breadcrumbs from the Squash Casserole as 1 Yellow container. So total meal was: 1 1/2 Red, 1 1/2 Green, 2 Yellow and 1 Blue. Things I passed on were: Mashed Potatoes, Pinto Beans, Yams, Sweet Potato Casserole (all Yellow containers) and of course the Sweet Tea and Pies. I didnt miss any of these things. I was full and satisfied but not stuffed. I am a little hungry now b/c Im sure having so much carbs in one meal spiked my blood sugar a bit. I will eat a light dinner of just Turkey and Green Beans (the only thing I brought home). Yay!! Not hard at all :) Everyone was very curious about my containers :)
