This is my PSA for today! As Im on my 5th day of a terrible sinus , coughing , runny nose , cold and its only early November. What does it mean for me when you have the sniffles and we cross paths. Well this time it has caused me to trigger a hemolytic episode essentially destroying the blood I just got. It has dehydrated me which hurts my kidneys (creatine up and dropping my GFR lower) which means Im closer to having to start dialysis. The puking lowers my potassium and magnesium so on top of the 15 potassium pills I take a day I had to get a 4 hr potassium and magnesium infusion after I had my IV treatment for my bone marrow yesterday(pic below lol) It means I have to stay in bed 24hrs a day because Im too weak to function normally. The worst part of all my poor husband had to do a load of his own laundry and figure out what he was going to eat for these days which tragically prompted him going to the grocery store! Yikes! I dont even want to get started on what the state of my house is doing to my OCD . It looks like we had a big time college kegger party! But in all seriousness if you have kiddos , elderly , pregnant friends or anyone with a suppressed immune system dont share your germs because what is just the sniffles to you (Brian💜) can cause us some damage ! Anyways Im starting to come out of this so dont worry I will be fine. Brian has been great as usual. Im always thankful for his love and care. I just wanted to give some insight on how ones cold can effect me! Dont be a hero, stay home! If you cant because I do realize its not always a possibility but washing hands constantly,coughing into your elbow and just being aware helps too!:) xoxo Mis
