This is my dog Ricky. Hes 2½ years old and is a pitbull mixed with Jack Russell terrier. I am giving him away free to a good home. I took him to the animal shelter because I can no longer have him due to my living situation. They have had him for about two weeks until they called me today and said if I dont take him back, they will put him down. Hes too scared there and they found him not to be adoptable. Hes a great dog, very lovable! With the right medication, training, and exercise, he can be the perfect dog. He loves the water, loves baths, loves belly rubs, loves to play ball, loves to play period, and has all sorts of silly quirks to him. Hes a very happy dog and will love you very much once he gets to know you. Does basic commands except for heel, I have worked on that one for a long time and doesnt seem to get it, either that or hes just too high energy, Im not sure. He also knows a couple extra tricks like shake, high five, and turn around. He is a treat addict lol, I wouldnt leave those in reach haha. These are the reasons the animal shelter found him unadoptable. He has anxiety issues and is a barker as Jack Russells are known to be. He is high energy, so he needs someone with a yard or someone who can take him for runs, walks, or bike rides, a ranch or a piece of land would be preferable so he can roam free and run around all he wants, but this isnt required. He is not good with other dogs or cats, so he also needs a home without those or someone who knows how to properly introduce them such as a dog trainer. He needs a real dog trainer, he has the wrong kind of issues for a petco trainer. He loves kids, however, he is too rough with them, so teenagers would be better than giving him to a home with children. He likes to jump and knock them over, that is why. He also has skin issues which are not due to allergies, its a breed issue, but it goes away when hydrocortisone or baby/coconut oil is applied. Please help him out! Im seriously desperate and if I had the money, I would pay you to take him just so he can get a home, however right now I do not have the funds.
