This is my fathers house on Lady Gowrie Drive, Osborne, right - TopicsExpress

This is my fathers house on Lady Gowrie Drive, Osborne, right opposite Anaconda Drive,in the early 1960s. The plane is a Piper Pawnee, owned and operated by Freeman and Wauchope of Trojan Aerial Spraying Company, and was used to spray mosquitoes on Torrens Island during the building of the power station. The plane would taxi off the front lawn, down the dirt track across the road, which is now Anaconda Drive and take-off and land on the magnificent beach. At night it would be kept on the front lawn. The man standing is Mr Ognani, the proprietor of the kiosk across the road, with my Mother and siblings.
