This is my favourite drill right now. I know the push is weak. I actually have a good push, but Im concentrating on the opening up shot after the push. You will notice that all the forehand pushes go to the opponents forehand, and the backhand pushes go to their backhand. That is because 80% of all shots come back to the same direction that they come from. So Im training my instincts to push based on where I want it to go from my opponent. Then I open up with an aggressive loop. A few point to watch are...the leg bend on my FHA and my racket swing is more vertical than forward, and on the BH you will notice several points. Knee bend, twist to my left, lower racket while twisting the wrist backwards, keeping my racket elbow close to my body, then as I transfer weight starting from the feet and all the way through my body, just before I release my racket, push my right elbow in front of my body, keeping the racket close and then I whip the racket forward and upwards as I move my body weight upwards. This stroke is very devastating and is not that hard to do when you get the mechanics correct. In both FH and BH, I am hitting fairly heavy under spin. And with the proper technique, the ball simply goes over the net with ease. https://m.facebook/story.php?story_fbid=10152170622046618&id=575066617
