This is my first post to this page And I am hoping for help. The large dog to the right is my 8 month old golden retriever male. To the left is a foster failure that I recently adopted only four days ago. She comes from an abusive family and the only love she knows is being neglected and hit. Long story short Ive decided to keep her. My male golden has taken to her quite well. Never has gotten aggressive with her but heres the problem, hes ten times her size and wants to PLAY PLAY PLAY! He starts playing too rough. Most the time she doesnt care but sometimes she will latch into his cheek and draw blood. Ive seen her do this twice. She doesnt look angry, no hair up no ears back no tail in tucked in. It looks like shes playing too. How do I correct this behavior from them both? While Im at work Im starting to kennel her to keep them separated. I have never had two dogs. Any advice is appreciated. I really want this to work out because for the most part they like each other and play constantly and I love them both. Tia.
