This is my personal view. What about a Union of 4 Malankara Churches, all under the spiritual leadership of the Patriarch of Syriac Orthodox Church, in the Holy See of Antioch - 1) Syrian Orthodox Jacobite Church, 2) Malankara Orthodox Church, 4) Malankara Marthoma Syrian Church, and 4) Malabar Independent Syrian Church (Tozhiyur Church). For this, we can follow the model of Roman Catholic Church in Kerala, where two Eastern Catholic Churches are united with universal Roman Catholic Church by keeping their distinct identity intact, and continue as a separate rite. The 3 rites in Roman Catholic Church are: 1) Roman Catholic - Latin Rite; 2) Syro Malabar Roman Catholic Church; 3) Syro Malankara Roman Catholic Church In the universal Syriac Orthodox Church, we can have 4 rites: 1) Syrian Orthodox Jacobite rite; 2) Malankara Orthodox rite; 3) Malankara Marthoma rite; 4) Malabar Independent rite. As a bottomline, the below are the p that may enable unity in Malankara Church: 1. The Supreme Head of the universal Syriac Orthodox Church is the Patriarch of Syriac Orthodox Church, in the Holy See of Antioch - who is having title His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius. All four churches are united under the spiritual leadership of His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius in Antioch. The Patriarch have only nominal administrative power in India. 2. In India, the administrative power is vested with individual Catholicos, who hold the title Aboon Mor Baselius or Aboon Mor Thoma. The Catholicos will also hold the title of Marthoma Metropolitan or Malankara Metropolitan a) Jacobite Church - Designation: Catholicos of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan, Title: Aboon Mor Baselius Catholicos Bava b) Malankara Orthodox Church - Designation: Catholicos of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan, Title: Aboon Baselius Mor Thoma Catholicos Bava c) Malankara Marthoma Church - Designation: Catholicos of the East and the Marthoma Metropolitan, Title: Aboon Mor Thoma Catholicos Bava d) Malabar Independent Church - Designation: Catholicos of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan, Title: Aboon Mor Baselius Catholicos Metropolitan 3. The following churches can be elevated as Suffragon Sees of Holy See of Antioch: a) Puthencruz Cathedral, See for Jacobite Church b) Kottayam Devalokam Cathedral, for Malankara Orthodox Church c) Pulatheen Cathedral, Thiruvalla, for Malankara Marthoma Church d) Tozhiyur Cathedral, for Malabar Independent Church 4. All Closed-Churches due to the Church-Conflict should be reopened and open for all the individual churches. We should utilize the money saving from the legal expense for the poor and destitutes. For this Union, Syrian Marthoma Church (the one which I adhere to) should declare Orthodoxy in its core belief. This union will make Malankara Church stronger in the religious spectrum.
