This is my problem with organized religion. Satan was the first free thinker, the first person to grant humanity free thought, and free will. Through the apple, he granted us knowledge and liberty. He liberated us from crawling on all fours, damned to worship our master - God - for eternity. God was are Master, we were his slaves. We are now liberated from the shackles of God, but the idea of god alone can and does enslave man kind. The idea of God created the Church, and the Church created the State. Both institutions work to increase privilege for the minority of people and instill famine and slavery for the majority of people. "God is dead", if only this was true.
