This is our eleventh week of school and this week we have a home game and halftime performance at Wilkerson Sanders Stadium on Friday, November 8th vs. Longview High School. Weekly Marching Rehearsals: Monday - No Rehearsal Tuesday - No Rehearsal Thursday - 4:10 till 5:30 Friday Game Day: Full Marching Band Uniform including hats and gloves and Black Theme T-Shirt underneath. 3:45-Schools is released 6:00-Inspection on the band practice 6:15-Load buses 6:20-Depart for WSS Stadium 6:45-In the stands ready to go 7:30-Kick off 10:15-Game over 10:30-Load buses 10:45-Arrive back at the band hall All times after kickoff are approximate; however, we will work very close to those times. Please make sure to arrange pickup for your student at the RHS Band Hall by 10:50 PM Friday after the game. Friday is our last home game and it is also Senior Night. Senior parents expect more information regarding Senior Night tomorrow. Since this is a home game, the band boosters will not be providing a meal before we depart for WSS. Students will have time between 3:45 and 6:00 to have dinner. We will not be having a run through rehearsal before inspection unless it rains us out on Thursday. If we do have to cancel the rehearsal on Thursday due to rain, expect a 5:30 run through rehearsal before we depart so we make sure to look sharp for halftime. Parents please make arrangements for students to have food before we depart. They may leave the campus, bring food from home, or have a parent or classmate bring food for them. We are invited back to CiCis to have our last post-game pizza party. Following the game and after we return to the band hall and unload, Orange Wave Band members may go to CiCis here in Rockwall and enjoy the buffet and some fellowship with their fellow band members. The buffet costs $7 and everyone has a great time (and lots of pizza). This is not a mandatory event and students do have to provide their own transportation to and from. CiCis closes at 12:00 midnight, so we ask all the students to arrange to be picked up (or just leave if they drive themselves) at that time. Spring trip payments for November are due. If you havent already turned in your $78 payment, please make your check payable to RHS Band as soon as possible. Lets have a great eleventh week! See you at the game on Friday.
