This is part of an exhibit at the Bastogne "Heinz " Kaserne. All of this was recovered in the area around Bastogne. The Kaserne was originally VIII Corps HQ and later HQ for the 101st Abn during the battle there, Dec 1944-Jan 1945. This also where BG Anthony McAuliffe wrote the "Nuts" reply to the German demand for surrender. As a WWII battlefield guide, this is one of the many places we visit.
