This is regarding last nights showing of Blue Bloods on CBS. The first several minutes of the closed captioning in Friday night’s episode of Blue Bloods did not match the program dialog and contained offensive language. This is the official statement from CBS: “At the beginning of (Friday) night’s broadcast of BLUE BLOODS in the Eastern, Central and Mountain time zones, The National Captioning Institute, a leading closed captioning agency which provides services to many broadcasters and cable channels, provided CBS an errant closed caption feed. It was a feed intended for another network/show that is also a client of NCI. Our network transmission team and NCI quickly addressed the issue to provide our viewers with the correct captions.”
