This is so sad .... WHILE FIREFIGHTER PROTECTS ATHENS, HIS TRUCK, TRAILER AND MOWER IS STOLEN My husband began his day on the 29th of May taking our children to school. Gets a call this evening that his help was needed at the firehouse. For almost 20 years he has faithfully put his life on the line and protected the community. Tonight, after a long night of willingly protecting others along with his fellow firefighters, he goes back to the station for a short breather only to find at 3 am on Friday the 30th of May that His truck, trailer and Zero turn Ferris lawn mower was/is no longer at the Athens Firehouse. It has been stolen!!!!! Not to worry! He is still sitting beside a smoldering fertilizer fire protecting our community and the person who stole it!
