This is soooo true!!!! So many people on Facebook embellish, glamorize or cover-up what theyre really going through...including myself at times. I admit Ive wanted to live in the depicted lives of my fb friends and wondered why life was so simple and boring. Too often we try to cover up who we really are in attempt to gain favorable thoughts of others...or simply in attempt to make ourselves feel happy temporarily and forget our reality. What I have learned is that we as individuals are authentic!!!!!!!!! There is no one like you and that is amazing. No one else in this world has your qualities so dont try covering that up. Be yourself and not worry about how you are perceived by others because it doesnt matter. What matters is that you go to bed happy because your doing what your intended to do which is following your heart and being the best person you can be. Dont compare yourself to others. Understand you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and your individuality is impeccable!!!!! So when you begin to compare yourself to what you see on social media just remember what you see is not always as perfect and glamorous as it is perceived.
