This is the best news. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. It means the world to me and I know it helped Manny and Allie. Peace and light. UPDATE: BIG NEWS! They changed Mannys trache today to a smaller size so that he will hopefully be able to talk after some time working with the speech therapist. His arterial line was removed. Physical therapy helped him stand and use a tall walker to walk to a chair and sit in it! This is Day 29 in the hospital and Day 3 of his current chemo cycle. But the BIG NEWS is that...WERE NOT IN THE ICU ANYMORE!!! He was deemed well enough to move to a normal oncology floor so we are now located in the Duke Main Hospital, Floor 9, Rm 9107! Even though these are tough times, I am SO grateful for our support network of family and friends, the medical facilities and personnel, and that Manny is responding so well to treatment and is OUT OF THE ICU! My heart goes out to those who are struggling and I am sending lots of hope and love their way.
