This is the day The Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it..... It has happened every year since 1977. September 9th comes and goes and the reminder of the loss of my brother Perry (for 37 years) leaves a dull void .... Some years it stings more than others. I do not like receiving a text that says Im ok but..... I have had a wreck. I especially do not like receiving them on September 9th. I rejoice that Mike is ok. I rejoice that is wasnt a phone call from a hospital or worse yet the highway patrol. I rejoice that tonight when we sit down at the Cheesecake Factory with dear and precious friends he will have something silly to say about it. Its been a tough week and its only Tuesday! We have had over the last 48 hrs almost $5,000 in fraudulent charges go thru our business bank account. His personal account debit card was missing the first few hours of today but has been found!! I trust God. I do not trust my emotions or fears!! Last night God gave me an incredible opportunity to speak to the women at our church home - First Assembly in Kaufman and He was so faithful to show up and its such a joy to see women minister to one another!! And nothing is more fulfilling for me than to share the stories of Jesus, I love to tell/hear! So please lift up Marilyn Momoo Hooper Eastep and the rest of us, including the Kennedy family as we revisit bitter sweet memories of the night that Crandall and Combine didnt sleep because everyone was either at the Easteps or the Kennedys house because they cared and loved us dearly!
