This is the failure of socialism for all to see. Hugo Chavez ruined this country by nationalizing everything. Hi successor, Nicolas Maduro, is nothing more than Hugo Chavez 2.0. Now they experience shortages of toilet paper, milk, hyper inflation, and on the brink of economic collapse. Venezuela used to be a burgeoning economy...now its becoming a third-world country thanks to socialism. You might ask yourself how this could have happened? Well, Hugo Chavez did what the democrat party and barack obama do; they buy votes by promising free stuff all in the name of compassion. They talk about income inequality and pit one class of people against the other. They introduce redistribution on a massive scale. Then businesses are nationalized, like oil and banks. When production falls short and problems begin to arise from their own policies, they blame the other businesses and start to take them over. As Margaret Thatcher used to say about socialism, Eventually you run out of other peoples money. Venezuela is on the verge of collapse. All those people who voted for Chavez and Maduro for free stuff and all getting nothing, not even toilet paper. This is the lesson that must be learned, because we are on the same path as Venezuela if we do not stop our current path. What is helping our country out now is low gas prices, nothing more. Certainly nothing obama and the democrats have done. And the irony is that its only happened because of fracking on private lands where obama cant stop it. Fracking is something obama hates, but it has kick started the economy up. On federal land which obama does control, oil leases and permits are down 40% and hes refuses to approve the Keystone pipeline. So it cant be from the governments doing. Its all from private entrepreneurs that make our country as robust as it is. Of course, obama takes credit for it, but mark my words; as oil goes back up to $80, $90, $100, our economy contracts as a result. That concludes todays lessons on the dangers of socialism.
