This is the first installment about some of the Big Sur Marathons course highlights. The first five miles of the course take place in the Big Sur community. You will pass by groves of redwoods and next to the occasional store or restaurant where residents will cheer you on. If you listen you will hear the gurgling of small creeks nearby. This is a section of the course perfect for soaking up the vibes of the beautiful section of Highway 1 that runs through Big Sur.
