This is the first snowy day with our new labor policies: “Employees that have a work-from-home agreement will get no snow days. If a Federal Snow Day is called, these employees will have to take an unscheduled work-from-home day.” “If you didn’t bring your computer home because the weatherman didn’t predict this much snow - tough luck. Either drive in and work or take a vacation day.” “Employees that don’t have a work-from-home agreement will still get snow days. But please don’t let that discourage you from signing a work-from-home agreement. Like your local fitness club, we don’t have room for everyone to show up here.” “If you are 15 minutes (or more) late, you must IMMEDIATELY have your timekeeper/manager deduct the minutes from your morning on your time sheet, then add 15 minutes to the day you make up the time, or declare that you are using previously banked overtime.” I don’t know who came up with these new policies, but whoever it was, I kinda hope they wrecked their car this morning.
