This is the only station in my area that streams Coast to Coast live radio but I cant hear them and they are less than 30 nautical miles away from my home (line-of-sight even).. They are an un-obstructed 50 or so statute miles and I cant hear them even with a 700 dollar antenna. The thing is: Everyone South, West and North should be able to hear WOND just from the wind blowing. The WOND signal is unobstructed and propagates all the way down the Atlantic Ocean, and just a few miles west across and to the Delaware Bay and also unobstructed North up the Atlantic so this station should land a great market but, they dont.. You cant hear them for nothing! I stream the station via Internet just to listen to some of their content but they stream at the highest bit rate which is a data muncher. Although I know there are hundreds of other stations that practically broadcast the same content I always come back to WOND because its my local content I want to hear. I dont need the news from Hawaii or even Chicago but I always come back to this one (especially on Tune-In Radio) This station needs to get their act together. Like I said they are only 30 nautical miles or less away from my QTH and I cant hear them at all.. I guess its just important that the casinos hear them! Hey..To Hell with the General Public should be the stations motto. because I think its only important for the Casinos to hear them, Sure wish someone would buy the station and bump up the power a little bit. Trying to receive them is futile.
