This is the right time to die ma comrades. If you are one of the Zanu-PF maggots and you aspire to be declared a national hero upon death, this is probably the best time to die. All you need is a brief history, whether true or false, of your participation in the 1970s guerillar war. A couple of scars to prove injury in the war will be an added advantage. And, oh!, you also need to be in the military to qualify. The rest will be taken care of by Chiwenga and his faction team. In fact Matibili wont even be required to bestow you with heros status as is usually the case. After all its no longer Matibili who calls the shots when the house of maggots is burning like this. If you dont trust us then read on; One maggot kicks the bucket in Harare on a Friday morning. No one in the party of maggots knows this dead maggot very well, so no one says anything. Its alooter continua and zora butter throughout the weekend. So far so good. Come Monday morning, nothing. The body of the dead maggot is somewhere between Chipinge and Mutare. Late in the afternoon Brig-General Mtizhe from his Pamutsamvu club in Chikanga Mutare, phones his boss Chiwenga to find out what they are doing in Harare concerning Bandamas heros status. What many followers of this page do not know is that Mtizhe and Bandama acquired adjacent farms near Mabheka in Chipinge. They were tight buddies, their wives too. In fact they fought together to chase Trevor Gifford and his father from the two farms they each owned, even to the extend of attending subsequent court cases against their friend Shumba by the Gifford family. (Please dont ask us how we know this, we told you before that we are Sahwira waJukwa). So Chiwenga promises Mtizhe that they will definitely have their way about Bandamas heros status. In fact he goes on to tell Mtizhe to proceed with all arrangements for a heroe funeral and burial at the national shrine even before the dead maggot is declared a national hero. And true to his word, by Monday midnight Bandama was national hero material. Didymus Gamatox was at pains explaining this but what choices did he have other than to report this scary new development? Scary in the sense that not even one person in the presidium expected Bandama to get heros status ahead of others who were refused the honour before. Rugare Gumbo was equally shocked but the worst was Kembo Mohadi who was quoted as only saying, He has been declared a national hero and we will do as normal.” What the hell does this mean for the club of looters? It means the centre of power has long shifted from Matibili and this alone should be scary for those fighting in the on going succession battles. What should even be more frightening is that the centre of power is shifting on an almost daily basis such that no one can tell who is calling the shots at any given time. Its like they are chasing a black bird in total darkness and the chances of getting harmed in the dark increase by an unpleasant ratio. Very soon we will be losing another maggot so get ready for some kongonya jive soon at the heroes shrine ladies of Mbare Chimurenga Choir. Watch this space. Asijiki.
