This is the saddle that I finally decided go with, to have specifically made for Vee. I saved up for eighteen months plus part of my tax returns. Mr. Brown has been a pleasure to work with. Because Mr. Brown bench makes his saddles himself (i.e., his saddles are not mass produced), it will be another two or three months before Vees saddle is ready. Quality takes time, but I expect that I will be able to use this saddle for the rest of my life. Ive been told by a cavalry historian that the design is reminiscent of a cross between the McClellan and the Whitman cavalry saddles (yes, I know that the Whitman saddle was never an issued cavalry saddle).
