This is the start of the Hebrew month - Iyar..read the short outline and be blessed .shalom Doug & Rhona Iyar - The Month of Issachar (Sunset 01/05/2014 - 30/05/2014) It is the second month and a month to receive fresh revelation and to meditate upon the numbers within your dreams and visions or divine revelation. Transitioning to a new level of relationship with God. During this month as the Hebrew children were on passage from Egypt to Mount Sinai . From captivity and slavery being amongst the Egyptian gods and all they represented to Mount Sinai where they received the Torah . God began to teach them about Himself and His covenants. He revealed Himself to them in the journeying as God their healer - Jehovah Rapha At the waters of Marah - meaning bitter waters - He healed the waters for them to drink .So this is a month of natural healing in all our life processes , business , relationships . Exodous 15:26 “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” But obviously when God is involved in healing is it supernatural and miraculous but He can do it through the natural things that surround us . The tribe associated with this month is Issachar - the tribe who was anointed to understand the times and seasons and to fathom secrets. This month is a month of increased revelation - Iyar is also called the month of Ziv which means radiance - light shining forth . Confess that you are receiving greater revelation this month especially when darkness tries to invade your understanding . Speak it out and the light will shine and the darkness has to disappear. More of His glory will shine from you this month - Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine ; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” God showed them another of His covenant characterics . God your provider - Jehovah Jaira - the one who sees and then provides. Exodus 16:12 “I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God.” Another covenant characteristic which God revealed to them about Himself is contained in Exodus 17:13-17 when the Amalakites attacked Israel . “And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.” God demonstrated through this victory where the hands of Moses were raised ( praise) they prospered but when they were down they were beaten . God showed Himself as Jehovah Nissi - The Lord , my Banner of Victory . This month He reveals Himself to us as our healer - our provider and our banner of victory over every enemy . As we move on into the new year we can see what God is releasing upon us. The first month we reconfirm our covenant during “Passover” The second month we receive the secrets of His covenant. The third month we come into a completely new level of Pentecost the out-flowing of the spiritual gifts . Vav is the alphabet character of this month and means “ connecting and linking “ Pictorially it is a connecting pin . As we move right this month we position ourselves for right connecting and linking for the remainder of the year. As we set our hearts to seek God and to receive increased revelation He will release this increased blessing upon us. Daniel 2:21-22 “And He changes the times and the seasons ; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things ; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.” God has released an anointing this month which helps us to identify areas of improvement in our life situations so that we can increase in strength . We go from strength to strength as we faithfully and thoroughly seek out this improvement and commit ourselves in dependence and reliance upon God. This month we need to deal with our conscience - our soul - mind - will - emotions . This is our thinking and behaviour “self” that needs to have some training and discipline to bring it back in line with God’s higher purposes for us. It’s spring cleaning time for these areas of our being . If we allow yesterday’s negatives to accumulate they become the insulation that blocks the clarity of receiving God’s word from Heaven. We must allow the free flow of the prophetic gifting this month so that we clear all the channels to receive accurately . Speak out those words of comfort , exhortation and edification. Let the river flow and refresh the soul of those who need His touch . Someone needs to hear from Heaven and you are just the person to deliver that word .
